What is wrong with our physicians today?

My poor mother, 84, was diagnosed with pneumonia over a month ago and was extremely active. She has been to 4 different drs. and a major emergency room and no one can help her. She has heart problems and during one test in hospital they had to shock her heart back into rhythm and sent her back home. She has gone from an active lady to not being able to get out of bed or care for herself. I finally convinced her to go back to ER and demand to stay until they can find what is wrong. My question is, how can 4 different doctors see this elderly woman going downhill so fast and not worry or try to find out what is killing her? I foresee a lawsuit if anything happens after they turn their backs and turn her away. What else can I do for her? It is heartbreaking to see this active woman so close to death and no one will help her.
