Is this a good plan to be a highschool librarian?

If a major in Secondary Education (ages 10-21) Emphasis on English, so an English Major within this program... And a minor in library science? Then after that get certified to be a librarain while getting a masters in Library Sciences... Does that sound like a solid plan? I think the education major will give me a leg up since I already have the school setting or whatever...
