What should I do about my Canon CF Error?

I have a Canon Rebel Digital XT that i bought around two years ago. The camera keeps saying that there is a CF error, so i looked into the CF slot and some of the stick things (not tech savvy) were bent. I tried fixing some but two of them just fell off. Can this be prepared? If it can, how much will it cost?
