Is there a personality disorder where a person lies, takes money under false pretenses and manipulates people?
I.E. a co-worker lied about having live twins, dead twins, fake pregnancies and a child with leukemia who died. She took co-workers gifts and sympathy funds, also PTO time when hers ran our because of her fake "maternity leaves." She had no children and no pregnancies, has no fertility issues. These lies have been a recurring theme in her life. She just lost her marriage and her job because of the lies. She is middle-aged. I understand that with personality disorders there is no medication or therapy that will help or cure because these people blame everyone else and refuse to admit to a problem. She is arrogant even though exposed. Is she borderline, sociopathic (APD) or narcissistic (NPD)? Is it because of the way she was raised by her parents? She is also a nurse. Could she potentially hurt a patient? She has been volatile, throwing chairs and screaming at home. At work she wrapped her cube in bubble wrap and sat there snapping it loudly, as if agitated.
