Can playing football lead to long-term brain injury?

Log term heading can cause permanent brain injury, especially in younger players. Brain concussions caused by incidental contact and kicking is also prevalent. Female players are even more vulnerable than men because of their weaker neck muscles. Concussions may go away but they have a lasting effect. Parents should do all they can to protect their children.
