Can Islam and Free Speech Co-Exist?

After reading this article: a href="http://www.townhall.com/columnists/MichelleMalkin/2010/09/10/the_eternal_flame_of_muslim_outrage" rel="nofollow"http://www.townhall.com/columnists/Miche…/a I believe that its impossible for free speech as guaranteed by the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States and Islam to ever co-exist. Like it or not, the First Amendment allows me to say "Obama is an idiot" just as it allows you to say "Edwin is an idiot" and anything else any of us might care to say unless it incites violence or causes panic (the clic prohibition against falsely crying "FIRE!" in a crowded theatre). Saying "Islam is an idiotic religion" is no different than saying "Christianity is an idiotic religion" except saying the former just might get a fatwa issued calling for your death for blasphemy.
