i am not biologically related to my granddad. he married my grandma and adopted my mom and aunts (i've known him all my life and he is my bestfriend). he had kids before that marriage. he recently had all of his "other kids" and grandchildren over for his birthday. one of the boys asked me "are we cousins?" i told him im honestly not sure. i dont like his other kids very much because they say my family is the other family (like we stole my granddaddy from them). well what am i to his kids, grandchildren and great grandchildren(though there are only 4 greats so far)?
