Words are very slippery. Within certain niches they tend to take on specified meanings. For instance, to a geologist sand is a loose pile of sediment whose pieces are no more than 2 mm and no less than .105 mm. To most people sand is junk on the beach. According to my dictionary the word Belief has two definitions; 1. Something one accepts as true or real; a firmly held opinion or conviction. 2. A religious conviction. It is that second definition that I think bothers many an atheist.
